We’re committed to help building a clean energy future. We’re taking every step we can to implement innovative and responsible environmental practices across our group. We try and use water, energy and forest products responsibly wherever we do business. Our target is the judicious utilization of abundant renewable energy resources, such as biomass energy, solar energy, wind energy and geothermal energy. We aim at bringing a global change by the year 2011.
With an alignment to our above commitment, we are complying with following GREEN initiatives:
Biomass Energy Generation
Setting a remarkable milestone in the filed of GREEN ENERGY, we have commissioned a 30 MW Biomass Power Plantin India
Wind Energy
To utilize maximum natural resources as available with a minimum impact on environment and ecology, our group has installed various power generation units of 8.1 MW and as an expansion 20 MW across differents states.
Hydroelectricity
Hydroelectricity is the term referring to the electricity generated by hydropower; the production of electrical power through the use of the gravitational force of falling or flowing water. It is the most widely used form of renewable energy. Hira Group having prime concern on environment is exploring new opportunities of generating power through same.
Solar Energy
Solar energy has got tremendous potential of energy which can be harnessed using a variety of devices. With the rising demand for clean energy, we are installing solar panels at our different offices, works etc for generating electricity.
”Waste to Best” Energy
1 | 7 MW WHRB Plant | Carbon Credit Received in Sept. 2002 |
2 | 10 MW WHRB Plant | Registered (feb. 2007) for Carbon Credit |
3 | 25 MW WHRB Plant | Registered (Dec. 2008) for Carbon Credit |
To make the best use of thermal enenrgy generated during Industrial operations, group has put-up remarkable efforts by applying effective power generation policies. Hira Group has installed different configurations of WHRB Plants for which CARBON CREDITS has also been registered and received for initial project. More in detail, group installed 7 MW WHRB Plant which already received carbon credit, whereas 10 MW WHRB Plant and 25 MW WHRB Plant are registered for same and may receive CRABON CREDITS very soon.
We are aware about our operations and are trying to make the best utilization of by-products generated from them. We are indulged in generating power by using WASTE & HAZARDOUS HEAT from our sponge manufacturing unit to maximum extent and thus gaining CARBON CREDITS, which is a proof of being environment friendly.
